H chondrites

Of the 1,063 observed falls in NASA’s Meteorite Landings dataset (records to 2013), 345 are h chondrites: ordinary chondrites with high total iron. The same dataset holds 13,237 complete find records of this group, so seen falls make up 2.5 % of its records. Median recovered mass of the falls: 3.2 kg. The heaviest is Jilin (4 tonnes, 1976). The earliest is Vago in 1668. The most recent is Košice in 2010, one of two from that year.

Bright dots: falls in this group. Faint dots: all other observed falls.
